Inventing your own journalism job

One professor quoted in this New York Times story says the journalists of the future will have to “invent their own jobs.” Do you agree?

In Arizona, four laid-off political reporters started up their own Web news site, The Arizona Guardian. Another group of journalists in Seattle did the same thing after the Seattle Post-Intelligencer shut down. Are these entrepreneurial ventures the sort of thing we’ll see more of in the future?
