Five Steps Toward Multimedia Tranquility

This video, which I worked on as part of a team project at the Knight Multimedia Workshop at UC-Berkeley, incorporates many of the storytelling principles I emphasize in class: 1) Audio serves as the backbone of the story; 2) Video and still shots feature a variety of wide, medium and tight angles; 3) Story structure has a clear beginning, middle and end; 4) Audio matches images whenever possible; and 5) Video relies on sources to provide narration rather than reporter voiceover.
